\nSezim ist 19 Jahre alt und lebt mit ihrer Familie im konservativen kirgisischen Hinterland. Selim will unbedingt studieren. Damit widersetzt sie sich dem Willen ihrer Eltern. Sie fasst deshalb den Entschluss, ihr Elternhaus heimlich zu verlassen, um sich in der Hauptstadt Bischkek f\u00fcr ein Stipendium zu bewerben. Doch dort wird sie Opfer eines Brautraubs und findet sich pl\u00f6tzlich auf ihrer eigenen Hochzeit wieder. Sezim wird mit einem ihr unbekanntem Mann zwangsverheiratet. Doch ihr tiefer Wunsch nach Selbstverwirklichung l\u00e4sst sich nicht unterdr\u00fccken.<\/p>\n
